A little over a month ago, I acquired the Nikkor 60mm AF-S/G Macro lens. It sure is a beaut and its close-focus point of 9 inches is pretty extraordinary. Until last week though, I haven’t had a great opportunity to see what it can do at that minimum focusing distance.
My family and I were at my brother’s chicken coop, seeing his new birds and visited the neighbor who has a very nice koi pond. Besides the fish in the pond, there was also a very healthy frog population. So, I tried to see how close I could get with the 60mm. My brother Kyle got a photo of me, getting to that point and I thought it would be fun to share the result and what I looked like as I got it.
