This young woman is a “Pride of Milwaukee” mention because though I haven’t known her long, she’s already impressed me quite a bit. She is the creator/co-publisher of 2 Cents MKE, a freelance photographer, and was a volunteer at JobCamp4 yesterday.
At JobCamp4, she had agreed to volunteer from 8:30-noon. When she arrived, she and Jen Purpi brought some order to the digital workflow area. When other volunteers arrived, she and Jen gave those volunteers the walk-through they needed. When we started having email issues, Katie started plunging into the guts of Gmail to try and figure out our problems. All of the volunteers stayed longer than scheduled, particularly Katie. As mentioned, Katie was scheduled to be at JobCamp4 from 8:30a-noon. As it turned out, she stayed till 5:30p!
