The December networking event at Gravity, in the Pritzlaff Building, was very busy last night. You can get an idea from the photo of name-tags just how many people had pre-registered for this event! There seemed to be a huge variety of professions represented.
Mike Kuharske, of Gravity, took a moment out of the night to talk about “The Idearaiser”, a large special event happening next February 17–“a global journey for cancer research”. More info can be found at www.theidearaiser.com.
I met:
- Patrick French from Time Warner
- Lisa Kaiser from the Shepherd Express, and
- Jean Kaiser from Ebix.
I also saw some friends there:
- independent photographer, Chris Duzynski
- CPA John Bleidorn (also an Our Milwaukee member!),
- Katie Felten of MKE LIVE,
- environmental educator Chris Bleimborn, and
- Chelsey Berg of Gravity (also an Our Milwaukee member!).
It looked like a pretty neat event, but I had to leave a bit early in order to visit the Washington Park Library. The library was hosting it’s “Comicbooks Aren’t Just For Kids” book-club meeting and I was eager to attend my first meeting! Last night’s discussion was about Superman in specific and other topics as they came up. 🙂 It was a pretty exciting varied evening!
