Milwaukee is home to a number of well-known green businesses–Brighter Concepts, Helios USA, and Growing Power for instance. Many people might not know though, that there are great small businesses like Zewing Girl who are also “green”, but in a 1-2 person business model! Zewing Girl is “green” in that they help to reduce the amount of materials that end up in landfills by reselling used clothing.
I met Tracy Potrzebowski at State Fair a couple years ago and before we knew it, a half-hour of chatting had passed. I’ve made a few small photos for Tracy in the past, but had never gotten to work with a model to show off Tracy’s handiwork. This past weekend though, with a “group shootout” planned, I had an opportunity. I enlisted Laurel, Communications Director of the Creative Alliance, to be my model, knowing that with her background in modern dance that she’d make a dynamic subject. I got a few skirts from Tracy, and off Laurel and I went to Gordon Park, starting our work at 6a.m.! You’ll also see a shot of Miles Fabishak, local HD-DSLR video specialist; he captured some footage of Laurel and I during the shoot. If you need motion graphics or standard video capture, he’s the guy to go to!
