The Waxwing (also on FBook), a new art gallery in Shorewood, was the site of a packed “Third Thursday” networking session for Local First Milwaukee. The Waxwing, started by Steph Davies, shows the artwork of 80 different artists – from jewelry to clothing to for-your-wall fine art pieces. Here’s what I heard from the various business owners…
–North Point Lighthouse is excited for some upcoming events, including their “Gatsby-ian” Summer Night fundraiser in June.
–Lakefront Brewery founder, Russ Klisch, said it’s “great time to be in craft beer” and that he’s working hard to keep up with the demand for the brewery’s product!
–Horizon Home Care and Hospice added a new staff member and continues to make people aware of their open and free to the public Grief Resource Center.
–John Bleidorn, CPA has wrapped up his clients’ tax needs and is now ready to help clients with investments (he did my taxes!).
–Stef Bartz Photography has just self-published her book: For the Love of Dogs.
–Glorioso’s Italian Market is continuing to settle in their new space and are excited about their forthcoming e-commerce site.
–Dig Design (Amy Decker) is continuing to do great design work for her WI business clients and her clients on the west coast.
–My Radiant Skin (Ana Gerlach) has a great array of skin and beauty services for women and, she emphasized, “for men too!”
–Bolzano Artisan Meats just finished 3 days of salami-making!
–Stems Cut Flowers, growing her own flowers from seed, is continuing to book more special events and weddings.
–Retailworks is continuing to do their best to make their clients’ interiors look inviting and appealing.
–Spindrift (Steve Baughman) is getting his paintings into more juried art fairs and galleries around Wisconsin.
–Comcentia, an IT and software development firm, is doing great work here in Wisconsin, and also maintains an office in Nigeria!
–P&N Promotional Products is continuing to make great specialty promotional products for their clients.

–Aurum (Neille Hoffman) continues doing design work for TV and video, and serving on the board of Historic Milwaukee.
