This morning, the business reps of Local First Milwaukee met up at Creative Employment Opportunities, in downtown Milwaukee! Creative Employment Opportunities (CEO) is a very unique staffing agency. It was very suitable that CEO hosted this month’s Third Thursday, as October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. CEO works with people who are physically and mentally disabled to find them long-term work opportunities. At today’s event, Cindy Bentley was present to tell us about how CEO has served her. She’s been working in the community for over 20 years, thanks to the help of CEO!
CEO was founded 24 years ago, by a former special education teacher. After working so hard with her students, Laura Owens was disappointed to see so few job opportunities available for them after graduation. So, she started CEO to help be a “match-maker” for employers and employees! If your company need help, consider giving CEO a look-see!
